Deadly Tanker Explosion Rocks Delta State on Nigeria's Independence Day

A massive tanker explosion struck Delta State, leaving a trail of destruction, loss of lives, and chaos on 1st of October,2023 bring Nigeria independence day. 

Eyewitnesses reported that the explosion originated from a fully-loaded petrol tanker and caught fire suddenly, engulfing nearby structures and vehicles in an inferno within seconds.

First responders, including firefighters, ambulance services, and the police, rushed to the scene to battle the fire and rescue survivors. The intensity of the explosion and resulting fire made the initial rescue efforts challenging.

Tragically, preliminary reports indicate a significant number of casualties, including motorists and pedestrians caught in the vicinity of the explosion, as well as individuals residing in the surrounding buildings.
